Think Tank 1

Principles of hierarchical regulatory networks

Description:
Adaptive responses of molecular networks occur at multiple levels and in an integrated fashion. This necessitates appreciation of metabolic, signalling, and gene-expression processes simultaneously. In this think tank we shall:
  1. discuss how concepts from engineering, metabolic control analysis and regulation analysis can facilitate understanding of regulation of stress responses,
  2. develop new concepts
  3. propose experiments and modelling approaches to classify, quantify and understand network responses.
We search for people interested in the challenges associated with integration of metabolism, gene expression and signalling and we will definitely need people from the experimental and from the modelling/theoretical side.
