Executive Committee

Prof. Dr Roel van Driel has been the initiator of the Netherlands Institute of Systems Biology (NISB), by forging a new collaboration in the field of Systems Biology between two universities (UvA and VU) and two research institutes (CWI and AMOLF), all Amsterdam-based. Possibilities for collaboration were explored in the course of 2006 leading to the formal establishment of NISB on 2007 January 19. Roel van Driel became the founding NISB director.

An executive secretary provides organisational and managerial support for the institute since late 2006.
An adjunct-director and a financial director were appointed to the executive committee in the course of 2008.
